GWish Postdoctorate Scientist Presents at APOS Conference

GWish post-doctorate scientist Dr. Najmeh Jafari recently participated in the American Psychosocial Oncology Society 11th Annual Conference held from February 13-15, 2014, in Tampa, FL. 

The main theme of the conference was “Quality Care Standards for Psychosocial Oncology and Supportive Care”. During this program, Dr. Jafari participated in a book signing event of “Safe Passage: A Global Spiritual Sourcebook for Care at the End of Life” for which she was a contributor. Dr. Jafari also presented her article entitled, “Spiritual therapy to improve the spiritual well-being of Iranian women with breast cancer: A randomized controlled trial” that reflects her efforts to integrate spirituality in health care practice in her home country of Iran. 

In addition to its content, the conference provided her ongoing opportunities to discuss emerging issues and best practices with several pioneers in psychosocial and spiritual care.
